Indigenous Cultural Wellness Coordinator

Terms:

1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week)

Description:

The Indigenous Cultural Wellness Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting health equity, cultural safety, and wellness initiatives for Indigenous communities. This position works in respectful partnership with Indigenous individuals, families, and communities to advance wellness, cultural safety, and equitable access to healthcare and services. Guided by Indigenous knowledge systems, community priorities, and the principles of self-determination, this role supports the co-creation of initiatives that celebrate strengths, address systemic barriers, and foster wholistic well-being. The coordinator builds strong, trust-based relationships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community partners to ensure programs are culturally grounded, community-led, and sustainable.

Social Worker

Terms:

1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week)

Description:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Social Worker provides frontline support to individuals, focusing on assessment, support planning, system navigation, and advocacy. The social worker plays a critical role in connecting clients with resources, supporting emotional well-being, and addressing the social determinants of health. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners, the Social Worker contributes to a holistic approach to health and wellness. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for program delivery, workshops, or community engagement activities.
